BENITO CASTRO GAETE

Benito is a founding partner of Red del Vino (6th region) and one of the Gaete brothers. His family suffered the loss of their father at an early age for which they had to work on the farm as children.

Benito was always a good student however, he had to leave his higher studies due to financial problems. After a few years working in Santiago he returned to Peralillo and began to work together with his brothers in the vineyard.

Benito married and has a son and three daughters.

On December 4, 1998, together with his brothers, he started the Sociedad Agrícola y Comercial Cal y Canto Ltda. Benito is in charge of the administration and commercialization of the production of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and their wine “Arado”
