OSVALDO DÍAZ POBLETE

Osvaldo is a founding partner of Red del Vino (6th region).

His parents together with his three sisters and brother settled in the Las Garzas Estate.

During the Agrarian Land Reform they lived in what was called “Settlement – Not one step back” on the same farm,. In the 1970’s his parents were awarded a plot of 13.2 hectares, planted with a half vineyard and a house that no longer exists.

His father planted the Merlot vine that today is recognized as Carmenere. He took cuttings from the same plant that existed in the assigned land.

When his father passed away, Osvaldo took over the plot, uprooting the entire vineyard that and leveling the land. His life has become the vineyard and the wine that is produced.

Osvaldo is an Electrical Technician by trade and he and his wife Marta have two daughters.
